Conte: We’ll Open Talks Soon
Posted: 4 December 2021

English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are yet to open talks with club skipper and leader Hugo Lloris despite his current deal ending in just six (6) months.

The French international is free to start talking to foreign clubs in January if he does not agree a new long-term contract with the Londoners.

However, Hotspur manager Antonio Conte says at the right time, they will speak to the Frenchman, saying;

“Yeah but I’ve just arrived. Only one month. In this moment, for sure, we have many situations to solve. Hugo is the captain of this team, captain of France, we’re talking about a top goalkeeper.

“He’s very focused now and he knows very well that now we’re trying to do our best. Me as a coach, Hugo as a goalkeeper and every player has to perform at a high level, but for sure we’ll have time to speak about him and I consider him an important player for Tottenham, for his experience.

“He’s a good goalkeeper first of all and many years at this club, he has showed always great commitment for this club,” he concluded.

We understand that both the club and player want to thrash out a deal and talks are not expected to be a drag in the next couple of weeks.
