Pirates’ Youngster Set To Dazzle?

Pirates’ Youngster Set To Dazzle?

Orlando Pirates Football Club, a club synonymous not only in South African football but also on the African continent.

Sure, the club has experienced a difficult time in recent years in terms of trophies and cup titles, and one might point out to the MTN 8 trophy picked up in Durban, however, more is required at such a prestigious football institution.

Nonetheless, there seems to be a new star born from the famous black and white of the Buccaneers, and it is the young striker by the name of Boitumelo Radiopane.

The ‘Radioman’, as Boitumelo is known by football commentators and fans alike in the Diski Challenge, has shown maturity beyond his tender years.

Radiopane is a proper number nine; big, stocky, carries happy feet, can shoot it and his movement in and around the area suggests he is on the right path to continue his development in the first team.

The 19-year-old was recently given his debut by the club’s duo of Coach Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi in Durban against Maritzburg United after his exploits in the reserve League after hitting the back of the net seven times in eleven outings.

The shy forward is destined for greatness with the right support structure, coaching and mentoring on and off the pitch and if he keeps level-headed.

The Buccaneers have found a real gem in the youngster, who came through the ranks at the formerly esteemed football academy, The Transnet School of Excellence.
