Mercurial Playmaker To Make Downs Debut
Posted: 16 November 2021
Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions and African giants Mamelodi Sundowns FC have an already impressive squad but have added one of the most talented footballers to their ranks.
Pule Maraisane, who has played most of his football in Europe, was snapped up by The Brazilians after signing for Orlando Pirates Football Club last term but never played for the Soweto club.
The Beautiful Game exclusively spoke to Sundowns’ Co-Head Coach Manqoba Mnqithi, who said of Pule;
“I will try to be as objective as I can in regards to that Karabo. I think Pule Maraisane and Sfiso Ngobeni are as close as any other player that has not played for us yet this season.
“They are training really well and their looking good and their giving their all. We don’t always want to focus on the two of them because there are other players as well that have worked very hard and maybe they deserve a mention to say ‘Where are they?’
“Just a few days ago, Villa (Sfiso Vilakazi) had not played a game for us, so we have a lot of players who we would like to give an opportunity to and at Sundowns, anybody can start a game. And the good thing is that physically, their all looking good at training,” he concluded.
Maraisane is technically gifted, dances with the ball at feet almost at will and will be a welcome addition to the Sundowns squad.
