KwaZulu Natal side Royal AM FC played to a one all draw against giants Orlando Pirates Football Club yesterday evening at the Orlando Stadium.

Royal’s Head Coach John Maduka laments the way his side kept on losing possession and reflects on the entire encounter, saying;

“It was a very tricky game…we started very slow today, we made mistakes, losing possession unnecessary, our decision-making was not right. But as the game progressed, we got better and better until we got that goal.

“But after that, we still couldn’t keep the ball, we couldn’t keep possession when we were not pressed. We not a team that losses the ball cheaply like that but maybe playing against one of the best team in the country…tension.

“We gave a goal away, we were supposed to defend better. We believe if we didn’t concede that goal, we believe the opponents were gonna open up and try to take the game more forward and I think we were going to be able to score more goals,” concluded Maduka.

Royal will return to Durban with a valuable point away from home and leaves that on fourteen points, three ahead of The Sea Robbers.
