Maleka Bemoans Lapse Of Concentration

Maleka Bemoans Lapse Of Concentration

Limpopo-based side Marumo Gallants FC came within a whisker of their first league win of the season yesterday afternoon against a rampant Royal AM FC side.

However, lapse of concentration denied Gallants the three vital points. The club’s interim manager, Mpho Maleka reflects on the draw, saying;

“We are disappointed with what just happened. The gameplan was well followed and we took our chances, we controlled the match and where we knew they could hurt us, they couldn’t because of how we planned.

“Unfortunately, in the dying end of the game, that’s where we have to kill the game and we failed, lapse of concentration. But look, we can say we scored two goals but we conceded two – that’s where the disappointing part comes in.

“We can soldier on, the confidence is there, the guys did their part, we just have to work on our concentration – that’s where our problem is, but we can take the good things we did and move on,” concluded Maleka.

Gallants will now have to put their disappointment behind them as they next travel to Kinchasa to face AS Vita Club on Friday.
