Mosimane Remains Ahly’s Man Despite Colourful Results

African football giants Al Ahly SC have experienced indifferent results in recent weeks and that is primarily due to many reasons, with The Beautiful Game’s African Multiple Award-Winning Football Correspondent Baba Mali Traore taking us through some of the club’s challenges.

Mosimane, who remains one of the best coaches Africa has ever produced in recent times, has faced injuries, suspensions, lack of pre-season training and players having recently being preoccupied in the Olympic Games.

There has been mooted talks in Cairo that the charismatic manager might be sacked, however, The Beautiful Game’s African Correspondent says;

“Limogé ? Non non non. Ils lui font confiance, ils lui ont fait venir de gros joueurs. il n’est pas qu’un coach hein (Sack Pitso? No no no. they trust him, they have bought big players for him. He is not just a coach huh).

“Yes results have been not too good, but a lot has happened since he arrived…won Egyptian Premier League title, CAF Champions League twice, got them a medal at the Club World Cup, have gold in the Super Cup? He is staying. The club’s Chairman, Bibo is backing Pitso my friend,” he concluded.

The ten-time CAF Champions League winners have signed top players in the recently-shut window, with Luis Miquissone and Percy Tau walking through the corridors of The Red Devils training centre.

Mosimane, a serial winner of note, will have the opportunity to turn things around and regain the league title from fierce rivals Zamalek CF in the 2021/2022 campaign.
