Baxter: It’s Going To Be An Issue

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs FC were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by new DSTV Premiership side Royal AM FC at the FNB Stadium last night.

The Beautiful Game asked Head Coach Stuart William Baxter of heads that dropped around the 70th minute mark in the encounter, and he said to us;

“I think if heads were dropping…it’s undoubtedly going to be an issue if you are losing 3-1 at home. You’ve made substitutions and they are trying to affect the game and their just not affecting the game.

“I think that’s gonna be an issue…when I say heads dropping I don’t mean throw the towel in but showing their disappointment you know. So, that’s…that’s something that’s inevitable…you can keep working until then but what happened this evening was that they were pushing.

“I’ve changed the personnel at the back, I’ve changed the personnel at the front for them to find each other immediately, it’s a big ask but I thought fresh legs may just give us a boost that we could get a goal so we could push on, but rather we have a goal away,” he concluded.

Chiefs have not conceded four goals at home in a very long time and this will most-certainly concern Baxter. The Phefeni Glamour Boys next travel up north to face Marumo Gallants FC, and a victory will be top of the agenda for the green and gold.
