Mokwena: Three Important Aspects Done

Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC are confident ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign, that is according to Co-Head Coach Rhulani Mokwena.

Mokwena, speaking ahead of the new season, assesses their pre-season training and gives an honest outlook, saying;

“Pre-season has been going very well; of course the three parts for us, the first is integrating the new players into the group and making sure that they adapt to the culture, to the personality that we are trying to create within the team.

“Secondly it is of course to improve our team, we want to improve our team, we want to improve our schemes and ways of doing certain things on the pitch and we’ve worked on those successfully. I think cudos should go to the players for their fantastic approach towards the pre-season.

“The work ethic has been extremely, extremely pleasing. The players have been looking good, sharp and this augers well from the technical and tactical perspective for this season, so a lot of good work has been done,” concluded Mokwena.

The Brazilians welcome Kaizer Chiefs FC in a jaw-dropping fixture on Sunday in the quarterfinal of the MTN 8, with kick-off at 15:H00 South African time.
