Our friends Sky Sports in Spain have told us this morning that Sevilla are now in talks with Chelsea Football Club for one of their promising players.

The Blues have opened preliminary talks with the Spanish side for the transfer of Jules Kaounde. The capital club are in search of a central defender and view the 22-year-old as the prime target.

However, Sevilla are also looking to include Kurt Zouma in any deal as a direct replacement for the Frenchman. We understand talks began last week Wednesday, and a deal is close to being finalized.

Sky tell us that personal terms are not expected to be a problem between the player and Chelsea, with a four-year contract in place for Kaounde. The deal is now subject to both clubs agreeing a transfer fee and a medical assessment for the player, which is also not expected to be a problem.
