Downs To Reconsider On New Signing?
Posted: 19 July 2021
Reigning DSTV Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC are expected to have one of the most busiest transfer windows at the club in regards to outgoings.
The Beautiful Game confirmed a couple of weeks ago that Sundowns had completed the signing of Bloemfontein Celtic youngster Sifiso Ngobeni, and were set to loan him back to Siwelele.
However, the 24-year-old left-back has had a stellar tournament with Bafana Bafana and was also a gold medalist with the national team in the COSAFA Cup tournament, which ended yesterday.
The Brazilians currently have four left-backs in their books in the form Aubrey Modiba, Lyle Lakay, Tebogo Langerman and the newly-signed Ngobeni.
It remains to be seen if Sundowns will be willing to send Ngobeni out on loan despite his glittering performances for club and country in recent months.
The Chloorkop-based have already welcomed six new players for the 2021/2022 season, with close to eight (8) players expected to depart before the start of the next campaign.
