South African Premier Soccer League giants Kaizer Chiefs FC will today play their biggest game in their entire history since the club was born some fifty one (51) years ago when they face Ah Ahly SC of Egypt in the CAF Champions League Final tonight.
The club’s stand-in skipper, Bernard Parker, live from Casablanca, tells The Beautiful Game how the mood is in camp at this hour, saying;
“We are blessed to have such a great mix of experience and youth in terms of what we have. The young players are definitely happy and excited to be part of the team and so is the rest of the guys, you know.
“And in our team, we’ve got such an open policy where we have a great spirit amongst each other where if you not certain about something, we have the backing of the technical staff. So, every player is happy and a happy player is a performing player.
“You have seen the performance that we’ve put in until thus far and it’s up to us to perform again and with the Coach being on the bench now, it’s an extra motivation in terms of having the Coach being nearer and nearer with the team, it’s a plus for us,” concluded Parker.
The encounter will be live both on the pay television bouquet and on the national broadcasting, with kick-off pencilled in for 21:H00 South African time.
