Former Orlando Pirates Football Club’s skipper Lucky Legwathi has felt the full wrath of the current unrest in South Africa through his eatery in Kliptown, Soweto.

Legwathi, one of the most successful and popular figures at Pirates during his heydays, has seen his restaurant being looted yesterday afternoon.

The now 44-year-old opened his business only a couple of months ago and employed four locals to assist in his restaurant, which he named Grootman. This will come as a huge blow to Legwathi, with the eatery starting to gain traction among fans and other customers.

We’ve been led to believe that an investigation into this will begin swiftly while Legwathi tries to get the pieces together for his business.
