Arubi: We Go Through A Rough Patch
Posted: 21 June 2021
The Beautiful Game recently had an exclusive chat with Marumo Gallants Football Club goalkeeper Washington Arubi, with the club formerly know as Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivandhila in Johannesburg. This online publication asked the Zimbabwean International of his thoughts on the club’s new change, and he said;
“Yeah it is a good thing but for me I don’t think it’ll change a lot of things because we have already built a foundation, so we just have to continue where we left off (last season), which is to prepare well and try to achieve more.
When asked about not playing for almost two seasons at SuperSport United, he replied;
“Yeah I didn’t play for about two seasons at SuperSport (United), but I learnt something from there. You know Karabo, (as) humans we go through a rough patch, so we just have to be mentally strong, keep on working hard and tell yourself that you can do the best.
“You also have to put more effort and grab your chance whenever you get it. I haven’t reached my peak and I’m still getting there and working hard,” concluded Arubi.
The newly-named club are still locked in negotiations with club boss Dylan Kerr in regards to extending his deal at the club. The Beautiful Game can also confirm that Marumo Gallants FC will return for pre-season on Thursday, the 8th of July 2021.
