New-look Bafana Win Against Uganda

The South African men’s national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, came back from 1-0 to win 3-2 against Uganda yesterday evening at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto, south of Johannesburg.
A new-look Bafana struggled in the entire forty-five (45) minutes; with no rhythm, lack of telepathic understanding and not even registering a single shot on target nor able to negotiate five passes among themselves.
However, the nation’s former hero, Helman “Midnight Express” Mkhelele rung the changes in the second half; bringing on hot-shot Limpopo hitmen Evidence Makgopa and Thabiso Kutumela.
The two combined fantastically well upfront, with the service of free-flowing midfield which comprised of 18-year-old sensation Ethan Brooks, and the Mamelodi Sundowns FC duo of Siphelele Mkhulisi and Lebogang Maboe.
Granted, Makgopa was the star of the show with his two cleverly-scored goals, but there is so much optimism for TS Galaxy youngster Brooks.
Brooks showed maturity beyond his age, the right energy through the ninety, tactical discipline, good touches when on the ball, his technical prowess to name but a few.
There is still a long way to go for this youthful side, with a couple of experienced players set to join in, and with renewed vigor, believe, faith and dedication, the nation can almost believe again.
