Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs will today make a long trip up north to face relegation-threatened Black Leopards FC at the extremely hot Thoyoyandau Stadium this afternoon.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys’ defender, Mulomowandau Eric Mathoho says preparations have been going well, saying;

“The preparation is going very well, we are going there for three points because our current position in the league is not a good one, so we need these three points.

When asked about going back to the place he grew up, the towering centre back said;

“Yes, I grew up in Venda and it’s always nice playing there, it’s where I’m from, it’s home for me. Although supporters are not allowed in the stadiums, I’m happy to be playing in a stadium where I come from.

The 1.9m tall man added that they will not undermine Lidhoda Duvha, saying;

“As for (Black) Leopards, it’s a team we cannot underestimate, we need to be prepared for them. They will come fighting for their lives because their in a relegation spot, so we won’t underestimate them, we will respect them and take them serious,” he concluded.

Mathoho and co will have to be at their best if they are to return to Johannesburg with maximum points tomorrow.
