DSTV Premiership side SuperSport United are set to make a short drive to the Loftus Versveld Stadium tomorrow to face cross-town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns FC in an enticing league fixture.

The club’s skipper, Ronwen Williams, first speaks about the two-week break they had prior to tomorrow’s clash, saying;

“Obviously we would have liked to keep the momentum going…we had a good result in our last game. But uhm…it gave us an opportunity to fine-tune some of the things that we were lacking in our last few games and work on our weaknesses. We used this past two weeks to fine-tune our strategy going into this game.

When asked about the mammoth fixture in the capital, he said;

“Coming to Sundowns, it’s always a nice game against them and we enjoy playing against our rivals you know. It’s always a game of entertainment and we are looking forward to it.

“Obviously they coming from a bad result in their last two games but that’s a different ball game, they’d want to wrap up the league but we don’t want to allow that, not against us. We’ve got our own ambitions…where we want to end, so we know what to do, we know how to beat them, we’ve done it before, it’s going to be a good one, and the guys are looking forward to it,” concluded Williams.

The Port Elizabeth-born shot-stopper will be looking to ensure that they keep a clean sheet against an emotional Sundowns team after being knocked out of the CAF Champions League this past weekend.
