Mosimane: Football Is About Goals

Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC came good in the mammoth task of the first leg in the CAF Champions League last night after winning 2-0 at home against the on-form Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
The Red Devils’ Head Coach, Pitso Mosimane gave his reaction post-match, saying;
“It was a difficult match, their a very good team, you could see the passing, the movements, it’s unbelievable, their a good team and as I said, their the favourites to win the Champions League, because of the way they play.
“It was very difficult for us in the second half; but we needed patience, and we needed to play smart, because if we become too emotional, because you’re playing home, they will hurt you because they are a good team.
“Yes of course Al Shanawy made a lot of good saves, but that’s part of football. But we know, we made a lot of mistakes, and I was frustrated also, but you must know that they play differently the way I used to make them play, they play pretty, pretty football.
“It’s beautiful to watch, but football is about results, it’s about the goals, we got the goals, and that’s what we needed, and you must score the goals. Okay, that’s it, we were strong,” concluded Mosimane.
The second leg will take place in Pretoria on Saturday, with the Brazilians having to score three unanswered goals for them to progress to the semifinals of the continental showpiece.
