Limpopo-based outfit Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila pulled off a monumental result yesterday evening against Kaizer Chiefs after beating them 2-1 to boost their survival hopes.
The club’s Head Coach, Dylan Kerr, reflects on the special victory, and his first over Gavin Hunt, saying;
“I’m very very pleased. I’m very happy for the players, I’m very happy for my technical team and I’m also very happy for the Chairman and everybody that’s been involved.
“Playing against Kaizer Chiefs is always going to be tough, even though they had ten (10) man (referring to the red card of Njabulo Blom). I know Gavin (Hunt), he went 3-4-3 which is what he does and they tried and we switched off the long, long ball.
“Credit to the players, they showed determination, they showed character leading up to the Cup final on Saturday, that’s what we need. But credit to my players, they showed good character,” concluded the Englishman.
Vhadau Vhadamani now switch their attentions to their biggest game yet when they face relegation-threatened Chippa United in the final of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday in Bloemfontein.
