Hunt: We Deserved To Win!

Kaizer Chiefs will return to Johannesburg tomorrow morning with a single point for their efforts after a one-all draw against their hoodoo side Baroka FC in the DSTV Premiership this afternoon.

The club’s Head Coach, Gavin Hunt reflects on their draw, saying;

“Well, the score is 1-1 but we deserved to win the game. I thought we had the better chances to win the game, I think if we got the penalty in the first half, it helps you, you know, which we haven’t been getting, two, three games in a row we haven’t been getting, you know.

“I mean it’s blatant (referring to the penalty they were denied), it gives you a little bit of a momentum, you know. We should’ve killed it off, we had two or three great chances and opportunities over the ninety minutes, we could’ve killed it, I thought we were the better side.

Pressed for comment on Baroka’s goal, he said;

“Big deflection, should’ve stopped the cross, and goes away from where it was going and goes to the striker’s path, and that’s disappointing but that’s football,” concluded the visibly dissatisfied Hunt.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys are on twenty five (25) points from twenty one (21) outings, and their next fixture is against the ever-improving Cape Town City FC in the league at the majestic FNB Stadium.
