Mourinho Too Expensive To Be Sacked
Posted: 12 April 2021
English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur find themselves in a spot of bother this morning as they are struggling to buy a win in the league and seemingly stuck with manager Jose Manual Mourinho.
Tottenham, comprehensively beaten by Mourinho’s former club, Manchester United yesterday, are currently sitting on seventh spot in the race for a top four finish.
We understand that Daniel Levy, Spurs’ owner, has decided to let go of Mourinho at the end of the current campaign but it would be a costly activity for him, which will see the Portuguese pocket close to £30m.
Mourinho’s current deal will see him remain at the Tottenham Stadium until at least the summer of 2022/2023, if he survives the sack this summer.
It remains to be seen if Levy will settle the mammoth payout for his beleaguered manager or stick it out with him until his deal runs out after next season.
