What Next For Bafana?
Posted: 29 March 2021
The tropical country of Sudan last night floored Bafana Bafana 2-0 to book themselves a golden ticket to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon while South Africa will be forced to watch from home.
Bafana, who needed to avoid a defeat at all costs, conceded two goals in the first forty five, which sucked out the life of Molefe Ntseki’s men in the Anglophone country.
The result will leave more questions than answers; Are we good enough? Can we qualify for the World Cup? What has went wrong? This is one of the most embarrassing results in a very long time for proud South Africans and something has got to give, in one way or another.
With the World Cup qualifiers now in sight, it looks a momentous mountain that Bafana will have to climb and fans of the national team will be left with gloom than glam, no hope and another headache with one major question; Can we honestly and genuinely qualify for next year’s World Cup in Qatar?
The daggers will be out during the week and it will be a very interesting seventy two hours at the headquarters of the South African Football Association in Nasrec, with key decisions set to be made.
