Barker Optimistic Ahead Of SSU Fixture

Western Cape side Stellenbosch FC welcome SuperSport United at the compact Danie Craven Stadium this evening in a fixture that promises to quicken the pulse and get the heart racing.

Stellies Head Coach Steve Barker is in a cautious but confident mood ahead of the clash, and of course he should be after three good results on the spin, saying;

“Yes we are looking forward to getting back on the park after the last week, a bit of a break. But yeah, SuperSport isn’t really an easy opponent and they have very good talent in their squad, so we really have to be up to the task for a result, which we are aiming to do.

“Looking at our previous three results, I think there has been some real good progress with the team. We are playing with much more confidence, much structure, so we hoping to carry that forth into the game against SuperSport.

“We want to be winning more games at home than we have been, so it’s massive fixture for us to get back to winning ways here at Danie Craven Stadium,” concluded Barker.

Matsatsantsa have not kicked a football in anger in almost a fortnight, and that might be a plus or a massive negative for them, but rest assured, The Beautiful Game will bring you the updates, live as we get them from the winery province between the two clubs.
