Rhulani: It’s A Very Big Game

Mamelodi Sundowns FC co-head coach Rhulani Mokwena gives his thoughts ahead of their game against Polokwane City FC tomorrow at the Loftus Versveld Stadium, kickoff scheduled for 15:H00.
The Brazilians come from an all-important win against African giants TP Mazembe on Saturday in the Champions League, with Mokwena now focusing on their clash against Rise and Shine in the Nedbank Cup, saying;
“It’s a very, very, very important game for us. We cannot over emphasise the magnitude of the game against a rejuvenated side that have a new coach; they’ve gotten two wins and two draws with a new coach, and already with a profile of some of the very very good players.
“We going to have to work extremely hard to get a goal because the back four has some very good players; Motloung, Buthelezi, the Centre backs, they’ve got a very good left-back in Goss, and they build up very well from the back.
“In the midfield they still have Danny Phiri to consolidate and screen the back four and give them the possibilities of dealing better with second balls. So it’s not only about the coach, but the individuals who are still at the team who give energy,” concluded Mokwena.
The cup tie is more of a David and Goliath type of encounter, but Downs are the hot-shot favourites to go through to the semifinals where Orlando Pirates Football Club will be patiently waiting for them.
