Ntseki To Name Bafana Squad

Ntseki To Name Bafana Squad
Posted: 4 March 2021

Bafana Bafana head coach Molefe Ntseki is set to announce his squad before lunchtime today for the upcoming crucial Africa Cup of Nations fixture against Ghana and Sudan respectively.

Bafana will host African giants Ghana on the 25th of March, before travelling to Sudan three days later in their final group match.

Ntseki will be at crossroads with his selection today as Swallows FC midfielder Tlakusane Mthetwa has been phenomenal this season but doesn’t have a national cap, while Bongani Zungu has not played much for Glasgow Rangers.

Another headache for Ntseki is the fact that Percy Tau has also seen limited game-time for his English Premier League side Brighton, but one could never doubt his quality and is quite simply, Bafana’s trump card.

On the local scene, there has been fantastic performers all round from the likes of Sipho Mbule, Njabulo Ngcobo from the Dube Birds to name but a few.

Should Bafana beat Ghana on the 25th, it’ll most certainly confirm their flight ticket to Cameroon 2022, with the tournament set to take place in January and end in February.

The Beautiful Game will bring you live updates as we get them from SAFA House of the squad announcement.
