DSTV Premiership strugglers Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila continued their fight against relegation after picking up there vital points against free-falling Stellenbosch FC this afternoon, winning 1-0 at home.

The club’s caretaker head coach David Mathebula has reflected on the victory this afternoon, saying;

“Ja, we knew Stellenbosch FC is not an easy team, we also knew it won’t be easy. We tried as much as possible to keep the ball and we tried moving forward and get to the final third as quickly as possible.

“Because we are in a situation where we can’t play pretty football, we tried to stay organised. We build a base first in terms of defence, and this is our third match without conceding, and it really wasn’t easy.

“We had to make substitutions in the second half because most of the guys are not fit, but they pushed until the end without having problems. In offence, we tried to play up front and keep the ball as much as possible,” concluded Mathebula.

TTM are now on fifteen points from sixteen games, putting in a points difference of six points between themselves and cross-town rivals Black Leopards and Maritzburg United.Article By;
