BREAKING: Wydad Frustrate Chiefs
Posted: 10 February 2021
South African Premier Soccer League giants Kaizer Chiefs have been left extremely frustrated by their CAF Champions League opposition Wydad Casablanca this afternoon.
Chiefs, who face Wydad Casablanca in the opening match of the 2021 CAF Champions League group match on Saturday, had planned to jet out of the country today and arrive in Casablanca tomorrow.
However, the Moroccan Football Federation and the club Wydad, have not issued visas to Kaizer Chiefs, which would allow The Phefeni Glamour Boys entry into Morocco.
Furthermore, the club, nor the Moroccan Football Federation have not responded to any communication sent to them by Chiefs and the South African Football Association, forcing the club to move their travelling arrangements for tomorrow.
The Soweto club would then have a single day to prepare and a maximum of two training sessions as this would mean Chiefs can only arrive in Casablanca on Friday, with the match on Saturday night at 21:H00 at the Mohammed V Stadium.
