Newly-appointed Paris Saint Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has welcomed the possibility of signing Real Madrid CF skipper Sergio Ramos in the summer.
Ramos, 34, will see his contract come to an end on the 1st of June 2021 and Los Blancos have not commenced contractual talks with the veteran defender. Pochettino told Sky in Paris;
“Here, Ramos would find a great club with the obsession to always win. PSG are one of the biggest [clubs] in the world.
“Nothing else matters here except winning. Winning the Champions League has been a dream for 50 years; we have never won it. Even when I was a player it was an obsession.
“That’s the objective; we can’t just think about doing well in the Champions League, we’re talking about winning it. Since we [the coaching team] lost the final at Tottenham, our dream is to have the chance to play in a final again,” he concluded.
Ramos has also been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United for a summer transfer, a battle is set to ensue for the Spanish international.
