Jele: What Needs To Be Done Against Cheifs

Orlando Pirates Football Club’s skipper Happy Jele is delighted to be back with the team and playing again after starting the campaign on the bench.
The Beautiful Game firstly asked Jele if there are any superstitions they engage in prior to the Derby, and the laughing defender said;
“(Laughs and pause)…Ja no we didn’t go anywhere. We just work hard as a team.
When we asked him what is needed to win the Derby and the bragging rights, he said;
“We try to motivate the guys who have never played a Derby before so that they can be calm and do their best on the field. A derby is very important because it can break you or build you as a player as well.
“So you need the calmness and you need to enjoy your football, I think that’s the most important thing and you have to play for your family, friends and most importantly for the team you know,” concluded the soft spoken Jele.
The Mpumalanga-born centre back will be playing in his twenty-ninth Soweto Derby this weekend and will be hoping for three points that will help them draw a fine line between themselves and Kaizer Motaung’s men.
