Hunt Bemoans Missed Opportunities

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs failed to beat long-time hoodoo side Baroka FC in an entertaining one-all draw at the FNB Stadium last night.
The Beautiful Game asked head coach Gavin Hunt if he thought his players were tired due to their travelling schedule and amount of football they’ve played in recent weeks, he said;
“Uhm…Nah no we can’t use that as an excuse, it’s unacceptable for me. Professional footballers you know, they’ve got enough rest in between games. Ja we are up and down but we gotta be better.
The former Bidvest Wits coach then lamented the missed opportunities from his players, saying;
“But as I said, we could’ve scored; Happy (Mashiane) could’ve scored in the first half, we didn’t take our opportunities. And I said it at half time you know; the danger is their 27 (referring to Evidence Makgopa) is a very good player, he does so well and he kept on out-jumping our centre backs and he won the ball and they scored. Castro should’ve scored but anyway, disappointed with the result,” concluded Hunt.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys will make a seven-kilometre (7km) drive to the Orlando Stadium to face nemesis and arch-rivals Orlando Pirates Football Club on Saturday afternoon.
