Cardoso: We Want Three Points
Posted: 15 January 2021
Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs gave their supporters something to cheer about after an important three points away from home against the much-fancied AmaZulu FC on Wednesday.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys now travel to Cape Town to do battle with Jan Riekerink’s City, and Daniel Cardoso is in buoyant mood, saying their only going there for three points;
“Another tough game; it’s not going to be an easy one, we’ve got to collect three points, we’ve been very good on the road and we hope to continue with the (great) performance.
“If we can put up another fighting spirit like we did against AmaZulu FC, we should walk away victorious. I think that is what will boost us going into this game. Obviously playing back-to-back, we need to do our recovery properly, which we are.
“We had a day off today, we go back tomorrow (referring to today), obviously to get our tactics right. So ja, hopefully we go into the weekend to get another win, we want to thank our supporters for always being behind us, to continue supporting us and we will come out better, it’s just a phase that we going through,” concluded Cardoso.
Gavin Hunt’s men may possibly move into the top eight with a win at the majestic Cape Town Stadium this weekend, but it won’t be easy, with the grass set to suffer the most as the two elephants do battle.
