Jwaneng Coach: What We Learnt From Sundowns
Posted: 6 January 2020
Mamelodi Sundowns FC progressed to the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League next stage after humbling Jwaneng Galaxy FC of Botswana 5-1 on Aggregate yesterday evening.
The Beautiful Game asked their head coach, K. Keatlholeswe as to what they learnt from their glorious opponents, and he said;
“Quite a number of issues we have learnt, first of all we’ve learnt that this is a game, and it was played in the spirit of the real game. It was very competitive, and we equally wanted to win, (but) they won the game graciously, they won according to the rules, everything was in order.
“So they behaved very well, they behaved like champions with professionalism, something we will definitely take. The tactical approach, the power in which they put when they play. There are numerous other things we have learnt and we believe equally that they have also learnt something from us,” concluded
The Brazilians now march on to the Champions League group stages of the continental competition, with South Africans hoping that their drawn with Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC to “settle” the score, with their former beloved mentor, Pitso Mosimane now sitting on the opposition dug out.
