Mnqithi Sends Message To Ryder’s Family

Mnqithi Sends Message To Ryder’s Family
Posted: 3 January 2021

South Africa woke up to the most terrible news yesterday that former Kaizer Chiefs legend Johannes Ryder Mofokeng has sadly passed on.

Ryder, one of the most disciplined and talented footballers in the history of Chiefs, captained the club for nine years, subsequently becoming the longest serving skipper for the Phefeni Glamour Boys.

Mamelodi Sundowns FC head coach Manqoba Mnqithi has sent out his message of condolences to Ryder Mofokeng’s family after The Beautiful Game requested his thoughts on the sad passing, and he said;

“To Ryder Mofokeng’s family, may his soul rest in peace, we must try to find comfort in discomfort, and hopefully they will be able to accept that he is late. He is (was) one of the legends we had in the country, and it’s important that such people are not buried but celebrated because he has really done well,” concluded Mnqithi.

The Beautiful Game would like to send it’s deepest condolences and sympathy to the entire Mofokeng family at this difficult time.
