Zinnbauer On Pulling Out Jooste
Posted: 2 January 2020
Soweto giants Orlando Pirates Football Club went down by a single goal against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns FC in the capital of the country this afternoon.
The club’s head coach Josef Zinnbauer Tells The Beautiful Game why he pulled off Wayde Jooste in the first half, with the German saying to us;
“No it was more of a tactical aspect because we need a goal and we bring (Siphesihle) Ndlovu in…he is a flexible player, he can move in the centre of midfield, he can play number eight and as a six.
“But he can also play outside (wing-back), maybe as a right back and that is the reason why we started with him in the second half and changed the player (Jooste),” concluded Zinnbauer.
The German has suffered his third defeat ever since arriving in Soweto some thirteen months ago. The Sea Robbers will be disappointed with the result but hopeful on bouncing back in their next league encounter against early pace setters Moroka Swallows next weekend.
