Posted: 19 December 2020
Orlando Pirates Football Club signing Thulani Hlatshwayo exclusively tells The Beautiful Game how it feels for him to wear the captain’s armband at one of the biggest and prestigious club’s on the African continent.
Tyson, signed from Bidvest Wits in the off-season after The Clever Boys were sold, said;
“Obviously it’s a big team and it’s an honour for me to be captain. It’s a club that is close to my heart, it’s very personal for me because it’s a team that I grew up supporting, and having to captain the team and wear the armband, it’s an honour for me,” concluded Tyson.
Hlatshwayo, who is also the skipper for his National team Bafana Bafana, turned 31 yesterday. The commanding defender will be hoping to guide The Sea Robbers to more glory after helping the team lift the MTN8 trophy against Bloemfontein Celtics last weekend.
