Zinnbauer Dedicates MTN8 Trophy To Son

Orlando Pirates Football Club’s head coach Josef Zinnbauer has dedicated the MTN8 Trophy to his son who is still in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Germany.
Zinnbauer’s son, Fabio, was involved in a horrific car accident a couple months ago, with his dad saying to The Beautiful Game;
“Yeah first I have to say it’s the title for my son Fabio, it’s a difficult time for me and my whole family because I had to come back to (South) Africa. And yes first this is for my son, but I hope we get him back”
When we asked him about how difficult a game it was, he said;
“This was a fight, it wasn’t a easy game because we had a lot of good teams before and we came to the final and we won. This is for me very good because the last time we win a trophy was six years ago and a title nine years ago we won this (MTN8 Trophy) tournament. Ja, we are happy, you heard in the dressing room the players are singing,” concluded the German.
This trophy marks the first in the cabinet for the Sea Robbers since 2014 and Zinnbauer hopes this can be the start of a dynasty for him at Orlando Stadium.
