Zinnbauer Extols Figo

Orlando Pirates Football Club’s head coach Josef Zinnbauer has praised midfielder Linda Mntambo for his contribution in the team despite not enjoying too much game game for the club.
“Figo” recently put in a blinder of a cameo appearance against rivals Kaizer Chiefs and also scored after coming on from the bench, with Zinnbauer explaining his happiness with him when The Beautiful Game asked about the former Chippa United player, saying;
“I think what you are saying is exactly what he is; he is a guy that gives his all for the club, he gives his all for the squad, he gives all that he can for Pirates.
“And now he gets a little bit of success for the work that he has been putting in the last weeks. But it is not always important for a coach to talk about one player but for the whole squad.
“But yes, we know what he can do; he is a guy in the team for motivation, for his good words, for the spirit, he makes so many things for us in the team before the game and that is fantastic. But you know it’s not always possible for him to be in the starting lineup and I know it’s difficult for him but all players have to accept this,” concluded the German.
Mntambo is often seen leading in songs for The Robbers on matchdays and is one of the senior players that rises morale in the Bucs’ dressing room when the chips are down.
