Zinnbauer Explains Return

Orlando Pirates Football Club’s head coach Josef Zinnbauer shocked the football fraternity when he appeared on the bench for their crunch second leg encounter against Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend in the semifinals of the MTN8 competition.
The German left the country shortly after their first leg win against their neighbours, and was expected to stay longer in Stuggart to be closer to his family due to the bereavement, however, he explained;
“I am back because my son is still in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and there is nothing I can do to help him at the moment,”
When asked about the support he received, he said;
“Thank you very much for all the support; I have received SMS’s, WhatsApp messages, emails, calls, my family appreciate this very much, thank you,” he concluded.
Zinnbauer has seen a change in fortune in recent weeks as The Buccaneers have kept three successive clean sheets and have scored six goals in a trio of games, an improvement that sees them in the final of the MTN8 and sixth on the DSTV Premiership table.
