Motsepe In For CAF Presidency?
Posted: 10 November 2020

The South African Football Association (SAFA), alongside the Office of the Ministry of Sports, led by His Excellency Mr. Nathi Mthethwa, have called an urgent media briefing to discuss the candidature of Dr. Patrice Motsepe as the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The often charasmatic Motsepe has always been an ambitious man, and this will come as a surprise to many, considering his busy schedule of managing his multi-billion rands businesses and Sundowns.

However, if there is man to change the face of African football, it is Motsepe, having changed the Brazilians from a perception of a club “killing” football careers, to a club that competes in African football year-in-year-out, having lifted the African Champions League in 2016 and the African Super Cup a couple of months later.

The Department of Sports and SAFA have called an urgent meeting to address the media, where it is expected to endorse the candidature of Motsepe.

The Beautiful Game will be live at SAFA House just before lunchtime to take you through all the proceedings.
