SuperSport United head coach Kaitano Tembo made no excuses after they were beaten 1-0 by Bloemfontein Celtic in the second leg of the MTN8 semifinal and 2-1 on aggregate this afternoon.

The Beautiful Game asked Tembo if they missed the creativity of gifted midfielder Sipho Mbule, the Zimbabwean-born coach said;

“Ja look Karabo, looking at the opportunities we created today…I think the players who played today, I think they did very well. I think it was just unfortunate that we couldn’t score.

“But in terms of creativity, in terms of getting in good areas effectively, we did, but that final ball, the final finish, we couldn’t get it, that’s why we couldn’t score. But in terms of creating opportunities, I think we created a lot of opportunities to win the game,” he concluded.

Matsatsantsa will have to endure a long drive back to Pretoria with a disappointed squad on the bus, but with the international break set to begin tomorrow at 17:H15, it is a timely break for Kaitano and his boys.
