Ole To Remain On Wheel

The Beautiful Game’s European Correspondent Chris Wheatley has some news eminating from Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s board held a meeting with the club’s entire technical team late on Thursday to discuss the performance of the team in recent weeks.

The Red Devils were beaten by İstanbul Başakşehir F.K of Turkey in the European Champions League midweek, and prior to that, Arsenal got the better of them with a 1-0 win in their own backyard, leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side 15th in the English Premier League table.

We understand the meeting lasted just over two hours and the verdict is to retain the Norwegian…for now. However, there has been mooted talks in and around the Old Trafford corridors of Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino taking over if results remain the same.

Solskjaer retains the support of some of the senior players in the United dressing room while others are frustrated with the type of football the team is displaying at the minute.

The Beautiful Game will bring you more as we get them.
