Jingles Takes Ahly To Final

South African born coach Pitso Mosimane has somewhat awakened African giants Al Ahly after thrashing Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca 5-1 on aggregate in the CAF Champions League second league on Friday night.
The Red Devils were never really threatened by their opponents at the Cairo International Stadium last night with Ahly dictating the pace of the game almost at will.
Marwan Mohsen, whose career looked certain to be ending at Ahly, put the Egyptians ahead in the fifth minute after placing a low shot past the Wydad goalkeeper, 1-0 Ahly.
29-year-old Hussein El Shahat, an attacking midfielder by trade, added onto the scoreboard for the African Team of the Century in the 26th minute and made it out of reach for Casablanca.
The last of the three goals came courtesy of Yasser Ibrahim, making it 3-0 in the 59th minute. The Moroccans scored a consolation goal in the dying embassies of the game as they lost 3-1 on the night and 5-1 on aggregate.
The drubbing will certainly send shivers down the spine of either Raja Casablanca or Zamalek, who are expected to play their second leg in ten days time after it was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in Raja’s squad.
