Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane swept all before him in last night’s 2019/2020 ABSA Premiership Awards, with Mshishi walking away with no less than three awards.

The gifted playmaker, exclusively spoke to The Beautiful Game and said;

“Ja eish (long pause)…It’s been very tough. Remember I didn’t start well in that thing (bubble), I struggled in the first games.

“Coach Pitso spoke to me and told me to relax and just calm down. To win the Footballer of the Season is a big one…they all are but the Footballer of the Season is a big one.

“Ngibonga (I thank) my mom, my family, Sundowns, the coaches, my team mates, my manager and everyone at Profz, the fans uyabona (you see). Ngi jabulile (I’m very happy) Karabo,” concluded the star.

The 31-year-old, apart from the Footballer of the Season, walked away with the Players Player of the Season and Midfielder of the Season gongs. He will also take home a cool half a million rands for his efforts in the last campaign.
