Phiri On “Bubble” Experience

The Beautiful Game recently caught up with Baroka FC vice-skipper Gerald Phiri Junior, who experienced the Biological Safe Environment (BSE), popularly known as the “bubble”, and he told us the experience he went through alongside his team mates, saying;
“Yeah, I think it was a good experience. But obviously for teams at the bottom (of the league) it was extremely tough for teams fighting for relegation because one day you’re safe and the next day you’re not, you get what I mean Karabo?
“So the experience was good and the great thing was that we were all in the same place. So it actually helped us as players and coaches. All the arguments ended right there so it was actually a great experience bro,” concluded Phiri.
Bakgaga survived the chop by the skin of their teeth after holding Kaizer Chiefs to a 1-all draw, in the process, denying The Phefeni Glamour Boys their first league title in over half a decade.
