Posted: 10 September 2020
Mamelodi Sundowns FC head coach Pitso Mosimane has lauded the decision taken by fellow ABSA Premiership club Amazulu FC to appoint Ayanda Dlamini as their new head coach.
Cobra, as he is affectionately known in football, guided the club to safety in the PSL, with Pitso saying;
“Yes, Ayanda was here with me in the bubble. I’m so happy for him, I’m really happy for him to take the reigns. Ja, unbelievable, you know with me local is lekker.
“We need more of the local coaches, I think we have enough talent and ammunition to steer the teams in the right direction. Ja I’m happy for Ayanda, big ups to Amazulu for putting him in that space,” he concluded.
The 35-year-old Dlamini becomes the youngest coaches in the league and will be hoping to continue rising as a gaffer in this tough and demanding league next season.
