Parker: It’s More Mental Preparation
Posted: 2 September 2020

The ABSA Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs are preparing themselves for a massive clash against Lehlohonolo Seema’s Chippa United later this evening.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys are under pressure to ensure victory is theirs, with Bernard Parker saying their preparation has been more mental than physical;

“Our preparation has been more mental than physical itself. The preparation have been going well in terms of us recouping, rejuvenating, resting, and also tuning the mind in a more positive approach into our next match.

“We happy that everyone is on the same page, everyone is looking forward to win, that’s the most important thing to do, so far so good and we will see what happens on the field of play when we give our 120%,” he concluded.

Amakhosi were at once stage more than ten points clear of Mamelodi Sundowns, but now find themselves level on points with Pitso Mosimane’s men, only better on goal-difference.

German coach Ernst Middendorp cut a lonely figure post their loss to Bidvest Wits, and will be looking to collect maximum points against a Chippa United team that are also fighting for their lives.
