Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp has identified a couple of shortcomings of his side in their lose to Bloemfontein Celtics a couple of days ago. The German, who has received social media stick for not resting Khama Billiat, has spoken to The Beautiful Game in regards to his team’s mistakes, saying;

“If you win a game, you will learn from it, if you lose a game, you also learn from it, so there is always something to learn. In certain aspects we had very good movements off the ball, moving them away from the center, opening up the channels, but we didn’t do it as often.

When asked about what he thought his team needed to raffle the feathers of Celtics, he said;

“We needed more patience, more intelligence, and in the end, it was more of long balls kicked to the center and this is not how we want to see it. Therefore, it’s a lot we can discuss today in terms of what we have to do different for the next game,” concluded the German.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys remain six points clear of their chasers and challengers but will be desperate to register a victory in their next encounter against a high-flying Stellenbosch side on Sunday.
