Middendorp Lauds Nurkovic & Co

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp praised striker Samir Nurkovic and his experienced team mates after their stunning 3-2 win against Polokwane City this afternoon.

The German, who saw his side return from a 2-0 deficit to score three goals in seven second half minutes [71 – 78], said;

“We have experienced players like Daniel Cardoso, like Khama Billiat – national team player, and Eric Mathoho; these are guys who can handle a 0-1 scoreline.”

When asked about the importance of Nurkovic, he said;

“No doubt, no doubt Samir Nurkovic is a player who demonstrates ambition and the spirit which is needed to influence the team and players. I fully agree he is a big part of the team and one of the reasons we are where we are,” concluded Middendorp.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys edged closer to lifting the ABSA Premiership title with their victory and three more wins will secure the trophy for them.
