Pitso: I Spoke To Madisha
Posted: 12 August 2020
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed the talks he had with centre back Motjeka Madisha after he had a challenging game against Bidvest Wits in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday. The Limpopo-born defender put in a better performance against Orlando Pirates in the ABSA Premiership last night, with Pitso saying;
“Ja, with Madisha, he came out well and its very important for us as coaches to build the players and give them confidence, not only him (Madisha), but to all the other guys neh. I mean he did so well for a long time; you need to show trust, and encourage him. I understand these things, I was a football player myself.
“If you take him out, he will be afraid to play because he made a mistake. As long as I know it’s a mistake, it’s okay…we don’t condone or encourage it, but you can make a mistake at Sundowns and you can still play the next match, you know what I’m trynna say?
“I spoke to him yesterday, two days after the Wits game, after things cooled down, and I asked him ‘how is he feeling’ and all that, so he is good, its fine, he is okay,” concluded Jingles.
The Brazilians were somewhat lucky to have walked away with a draw in their encounter against the Sea Robbers at Dobsonville Stadium and will be looking to win all three in their next match against Highlands Park.
