Orlando Pirates head coach Josef Zinnbauer was impressed with the performance of midfielder Fortune Makaringe against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Dobsonville Stadium last night. The 27-year-old midfielder was comfortable with ball at feet and was threatening the opposition goal the entire evening, with his coach left impressed, saying;

“Yes, Fortune made a very good game; he worked very hard for the team and he was good on the ball. He also had a good chance to score, he scores that goal, we win the game, I’m 100% sure of this. But he did a very good game for me, I am very happy with his work for me and the team,” concluded the German.

Makaringe looks set to lead the team with the absence of trusted playmaker Thembinkosi Lorch. The East Rand born footie was paired with Ben Motshwari in the centre of the park where they dictated terms and will be hoping to do so for the rest of the campaign.
