Posted: 31 July 2020
Pitso Mosimane is one of the few coaches in Africa who have served at a single club with distinction and continues to do so. Jingles, as known in football, has revealed exclusively to The Beautiful Game what keeps him hungry for more success.
The Mogale City-born tactician has won everything in African football and in the Premier Soccer League bar the MTN8 at his current club and has told us how he remains hungry for more successes, saying;
“I always like to refer to the biggest coaches in the world and I look up to them you know…There is no way I can be like them but I always look up to them because of what they have achieved. I mean Pep (Guardiola), (Sir Alex) Ferguson, (Louis) Van Gaal; those guys have won all the trophies in Europe but the difference is I have all the difference on the continent also, but they’ve done it repeatedly Karabo.
“When you win repeatedly, that’s above success, that is now excellence akere, so I haven’t reached that level. Therefore, when I look at those guys, I salute and want to work extra hard, you know what I’m trying to say?” concluded Pitso.
Mosimane has already created a dynasty at the club and has been invited by the Confederations of African Football (CAF) to attend football courses, becoming the first-ever coach in the country to be recognized by the African mother body.
